* the financial benefit emerges because contributions to pension funds are exempt from personal income tax, which can be used to stimulate the loyalty of employees to the employer instead. The tax incentive applies on the condition that the contributions to the pension fund do not exceed 15% of the employee’s income or 6000 euros per calendar year. The impact of tax-exempt income is not considered in the calculations. The calculations are based on the tax rates effective in Estonia since 2019.
