Luminor pension funds are managed by Luminor Pensions Estonia AS.
Luminor is a local Baltic bank with strong Nordic heritage. We are here to create a brighter future and a better tomorrow for our community. In pension funds` asset management, we proceed from four principles:
- Liquidity – all pension funds` assets must be tradable on the market to assess their present value, change in value and share in fund investments. It must be possible to abandon bad investments quickly.
- Fund of fund principle – nobody can consider themselves the world`s greatest expert in every asset class in every part of the world and at all times. If you want the best, then it makes sense to use the know-how and experience of the best fund managers across the globe.
- Cost management – with investing, the cost is always important, because it has a direct influence on growth of customers` pension assets. The current financial market offers plenty of affordable and cost efficient instruments, for example tradable tracking shares. If the fund manager decides to make an investment with pension fund assets, then thorough consideration is always given to whether to choose the cost-efficient index, which reflects market movement or some actively managed investment fund with a manager who may be able to beat the index. What matters is adequate return and cost ratio.
- Risk diversification – by diversifying investments between different asset classes, regions, industries and companies and making investments at different times, we can make sure the impact of one decision for the entire fund is as small as possible. This guarantees stability and allows us to remain open to positive developments in several different regions and areas.
